My name is Charl Knight and our family has the pleasure of sharing our life with Ted, the Cockerpoo.
Ted is now 9, almost 10 years of age and I remember that we really did not understand what we had let ourselves in for in 2011!
We received bad advice about training methods and we instinctively knew that the advice we had been given would take us down the wrong path. We were struggling with managing a boisterous puppy and we were also unaware of the whole list of risks and worries that were out there!
This resulted in us losing Ted for almost 24 hours in the first year of ownership, due to our own mistake – one of the worst 24 hour periods of our life! Fortunately, we were reunited and this was a hard lesson learned fast in how to ensure that our dog was kept safe and well.
We obviously wanted to pour all our love and affection into our gorgeous new family member but realized that boundaries were needed to nurture a secure and trusting relationship. We also had 2 very young children and it was therefore vital that we trained Ted and our family to ensure his safety and also that of our children.
There are so many training, health and welfare resources out here that it is easy to become overwhelmed!
Over the years, we have tested and used different products and continue to this day to train with Ted as we believe that this is a life long journey.

The Preschool level is ideal for puppies and adult dogs and teaches basic skills that are applicable in everyday life and will also be used in more advanced training. So, the basic obedience training is covered too!
